Hello, I have a IMac and want to change the hard drive out for one of the new SSD drives out there now. My IMac is about 2 years old. Will the new SSD make the general operation of my iMac faster?

It will certainly make boot time a lot faster if you install the OS on it. That's the main reason people choose an SSD instead of a conventional hard drive.

Your Mac should feel "snappier" in general use too since an SSD can find files much quicker than a hard drive.
