Lenovo Y560 - ATI Mobility Radeon 5730

Hi, I have a Lenovo Y560 with an ATI Mobility Radeon 5730. I am wondering if there is anyway to manually change the fanspeed, I tried to do it with MSI afterburner, afterburner and GPU Z report increased fan speed but in actuality the fan speed is exactly the same(temperature does not drop and sound from fan does not increase).

Is it impossible to change the speed or am i just doing it wrong?

Unless Lenovo provides an application to adjust the fanspeed, you are out of luck. Check the Lenovo website, for your model and OS, to see if they provide any utilities that could help. Trying to use Afterburner is not going to help.
