CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE 3.2 GHz
GPU: Galaxy GTX460 1GB
RAM: G Skills Ripjaws 2x2GB

If so, does anyone know the relative framerate for this build? Thanks!

My computer is
i5-760
Zotac GTX 460 1 GB (think its the worst one)
Corsair Dominator 2x2 GB (could've bought better)
and it runs sc2 ultra @ 1920x1080 with 70-100 fps in 4v4's

only thing i'm worried about right now is the heat of the cpu/gpu, the cpu gets upto 70C, haven't checked the gpu yet but it's probably the same cause its 40C while in windows 7 64 bit

In actuality SC2 has more problems with CPU than GPU. The 460 is fine for the resolution, but the more units fighting the more math the CPU has to do and the more it will bog down trying to compute all the combat.

Lucky for you, you have the AMD Phenom IIx4 955. Meaning if you do experience a bogdown with lots of fighting clock it up to 3.5-3.6 GHz and that should help some.

I have a q9550 @ 3.5 and it handles SC2 on Ultra at 50 to 70fps with a GTX 460 1gb.

@triplej

do you have an aftermarket cooler? If not, you should buy one for your cpu to take care of that. I'm using a freezer pro 7 and my temps don't go higher than 58c, but before that they were in the upper 70's

That's pretty impressive amd. I think it's because you have your processor clocked so high (gj). that is a decent card but when I upgraded I was like Whoa!

How much does processor speed affect AA? Or is AA purely a GPU thing?
