Pentium 4 - HP D530

Hi everyone,

ive just managed to aquire a HP Compaq D530 (Standing tower version, not base version) from my friend which has had all if its components stripped except for the motherboard and PSU. I need some help finding out what type of processor it takes. Ive done some research and i think its socket type is 478 which takes Celeron and Pentium 4 Processors. I just need to find out if it will take a Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading technology.

Does anyone know a good place to find out these things? Ive been on the HP website and that found me naff all lol. Ive also not had a good look at the motherboard itself yet so im not sure if it states on it what socket type it is. but im going to have a good look today to confirm it.

Any help would be appreciated, Many thanks!
