RAID on a boot drive

Hi all, I'm looking for some information. I've got an SSD set up as a boot drive, running windows + Programs. Since I run a lot of games, I'm looking to put another SSD in a RAID configuration, since the space I have on a single SSD is proving to be inadequate.

Is it possible to set this up without having to format the drive and re-install windows from scratch?

  1. no you need to do a re-install in order to set up the RAID Array.
  2. Okay, Thanks very much. I appreciate the info.
  3. douce is correct. You could add the 2nd SSD and use it for the programs that won't fit on the boot drive. All you have to do is tell it to load to the 2nd SSD when you setup the programs....
