Approximate Purchase Date: this week maybe next

Budget Range: i have about 500 euros to spend from a student smart card(goverment scheme) and about 300-350 euros cash

System Usage from Most to Least Important: new pc for school work and pc games.

Parts Not Required: mouse/mat, monitor, OS, psu, keyboard, hd, case

as an overall pc its a good strong one i think but i have this problem. that motherboard states that it has 4 slots of DDR3 at 1.5v(16gbmax).

my Ram is 6gb which is ok but however they are 1.6-1.7v. how will this effect my pc? and is this supported buy the mobo?

1st u have to elaborate what u use machine for.

Next AM3 is dual channel so 2 x 2 or 2 x 4 GB

i gonna use my pc for everything, school work and some gaming, i could have spend more but that is my budget.

so am3 doesnt suppsort a tri channel ram?

Ok for that kind of $$ i wouldn't go with a GT240: it merely trades blows with previous gen 9600GT so :
