Hey guys,

So my parts are arriving soon, but I'm
Not exactly sure where I should connect my BD-ROM/ DVD REWRITER (optical drive) to?
I've got the Asus Sabertooth Z77 and it has the following connections:

Intel Z77 Express Chipset
2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports (Gray)
4 x SATA 3Gb/s ports (black)

2 x ASmedia 1061 SATA Controllers
2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports (Gray)
2 x eSATA 6Gb/s ports (red)

I planned on connecting the SSD and HDD to Intels Sata 6Gb/s, but then I realised I wanted maximum read times from my optical drive? So what should I connect my optical drive to? I was going to connect it to the ASmedia, but the manual on my mobo states those ports are strictly for data hard drivers only?
Some help would be great guys!

Storage Devices

SATA 3Gb/s: 4
SATA 6Gb/s: 4 x SATA 6Gb/s
SATA RAID: 2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), brown and 4 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), black Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10

Plug it into one of the black 3Gb/s SATA ports. You don't need to plug ANY optical drive into a 6Gb/s. There is no difference in performance.
