Strange problem with temperature

Hi
i have a pentium d 820. I think that i have a problems with CPUS temperature.
When i have CPU idle it has about 55. I think os too much.
When i execute prime95 i put CPU in 100% and i get about 65 degrees.
could you help me please? I cant understand what happens.

Have you checked your cpu fan is working properly, is it full of dust?

You could try re-applying your thermal paste, give the cpu and heatsink a good clean before application.

If you are using a stock cooler and after the suggestions above you still have high temps you may want to upgrade your cpu and or system cooling.

Im using a stock cooler. I dont know if the fan works correctly. When the CPU is full the fan is in 1600rpm.

Does it speed up and slow down with cpu load?

I'd start with a good clean and thermal paste as above.
