Hi guys,
Built a new system with ssd.
Put 2.5 inch 750gb wd7500kbpt for storage.
When I run atto benchmark i get 60+mbps.
I just tried transferring files, for less than 1mbps, and when I put my lightroom catalouge on there it was unusable.
Any ideas?

make sure the ssd on the intel or amd 6g sata ports. check that the sata ports are set to achi mode. download and install the newest mb chipset drivers. if an intel mb download istore. make sure the ssd firmware is up to date.

what type of transfer, there must be some other factor that was not part of the benchmark.

@smorizio it's not the ssd, its the hdd.
@the great randini Both a simple 1gb file transfer and general read/write. Sometimes I can see it go up to 20-30mb/s, which is so frustrating waiting 30 seconds for a simple photo to load

From my experience, the transfer data changes depending on what type of file you are trying to copy and the number of files at once. Im not 100% sure about this.

I understand what you're saying, but I really don't think this is normal disk performance. Thankyou so much though.

a disk to disk transfer (example: from one hdd to another hdd) or a download from the net
