Changing ATI cards. Do I need new drivers?

Newb question. If I have an HIS HD4670 with up to date drivers and I remove it to put in my new Gigabyte HD4850, is it good to go upon install or will I need to aquire different drivers of some sort?

i upgraded from a 4850 to a 4870 before and uninstalled and driver swept my previous card's driver just to be sure.

Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers won't hurt, but the drivers you currently have installed (assuming you downloaded them from ATI) cover all HD4xxx series cards.

i agree with wolfshadw, your card should work with a straight swap.

you should be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to uninstall and then reinstall the drivers
