I have a computer set up for RAID 0 with two Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s HDDs and I keep experiencing momentary "freezes" on the computer. Most of the time this occurs when using a web browser (I've tried Firefox and IE9 with the same results), but it also occurs when using Office programs or other programs and games installed locally. Oddly enough, it never happens on games that are Steam installations or are online games.
In every instance, the window will freeze, and the mouse is still free to move. If I click anything, the window goes opaque and has the little "(Not Responding)" message. In about 10-30 seconds, it releases the window and operations resume. This can occur as frequently as once every 2-3 minutes.
I have run the Resource Monitor during these freezes. As an example, let's say I am on Firefox, at ESPN's website. The Monitor will tell me that the C drive is at full operation by the graph, though the Firefox application is using 0 disk capability. Nothing else will change from idle state.
Does anyone know what is wrong or if there is a way to fix this issue?
