im not very good with MOBO and i need advice in choosing which mother board is better
MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

MSI 970A-G45 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
So which board is better for overclocking

The MSI 970A-G45 AM3+ is by far the better board. Both have a 4+1 phase count but the 870 has a high failure rate when OC'ed. Plus, the AM3+ boards support the next gen AMD processors while the AM3 does not.

Go with the MSI 970A-G45 AM3+ if those two are your only choices.

I would personally go with a GA-990FXA-UD3 (Gigabyte) or above or a Sabertooth 990FX (Asus) or 990FX Extreme4 (ASRock).

yeah those r my only choices
those two mobo r on special with a cpu and i need them to be under 230$
so i guess ill go wit the 970
