This is getting to be a bit time intensive for me. I was going to get a first generation i7 and had done a lot of research and comparisons on motherboards and had one picked out, when they released the 2nd generation processors and I decided they were an over all better deal.

I'm having trouble picking out a motherboard because I don't have the time I previously had so maybe you guys could have a go at it an recommend one.
I need to have this built by late September.

The CPU will be an Intel i7-2600k and I will be doing 3D graphics, 2D graphics and video editing.

Price: I don't have a price range limitation.

Video: I can use on board video if the board has it, or a separate video
card, though I'd like to keep a separate card under $300

Cooling: It's hot in here. It hoovers around 80F so the cooling system
needs to be good but not cumbersome.

Memory: The more the merrier!

Storage: I will probably use no more than 3 hard drives. One of my old
SATA ones, a newer one, and an SSD.

Media: I need something that can read CD's.

USB: More than 4 with at least two up front.

Slots: I have a PCI Pinnacle A/V video toaster port and it would be nice
to still be able to use it but I can get an adapter if there is some
awesome feature that would benefit me on a board without a PCI
I guess the only other thing I would be plugging into a port is a
video card if I don't have or like the on board graphics, and a
sound card if I don't have or like the on board sound. But I like to
have a spare slot or two. And I don't want any bottle necks here.

Firewire: I hear USB 3.0 is replacing Firewire. However one of my camcorder
only has Firewire so unless I can get a Firewire to USB adapter, I
would like Firewire.

Overclocking: It's not critical but I like the thought of having the option to
do so safely.

Quality: I probably won't upgrade again for a while so I'd like a board that lasts a while.

Just buy intel, amd and nvidia... the company.

Honestly, if money is not a problem, just pick the most expensive on with most feature and performance with best quality reputation because that is what I will do if I have no limit on buying a board.
