Recovering files from broken 2tb wd elements

wd logo is stuck it clicks when it is plugged in then flashes then screen goes black tried to reset just says waiting for usb updates and sticks by what i can gather a corrupted file has ruined it what can i do to recover my files if anything is it worth taking it to a shop thanks

You can use partitionguru to recover whatever you can but the chances are slim.

Best chance to recover your files is to remove the drive from your enclosure and hook it up directly to the sata port and power supply inside your computer.
