USB Keyboard wont work on Win7 or Vista machines

Hello, purchased new 64bit win 7 pc and usb keybaord however it doesnt work. it is showing as connected in BIOS however login screen unable to type. only the backspace, space amd H keys seem to do anything although not what they should be so unable to login. rebooted with an old ps2 keyboard which works fine but then fails after plugging in the usb keyboard once logged in. there is no specific driver for the keyboard as it uses the microsoft ones apparently, any ideas what I can check?

Sound like you have a bad keyboard.

Go into Windows 7 and ensure that your regional settings are set to your country and not a different country eg set to UK if you are in UK.

Hi both. Already tried all the the likely drivers (the 5105GU isn't actually listed) and checked regional settings but no joy. My son assures me it was working when he first connected it to the new PC but after auto windows updates it stopped. Used system restore back to xmas day but still no luck.

i think it's a defective keyboard, get another, besides are better keyboards out there
