Why my Flash Drive cannot be reformatted but detected by the system?

That indicates that the pen drive is faulty and should be replaced. They have now become "throwaway" items because of their poor reliability, which is why you should only use them for very short-term storage, such as transferring data from one PC to another.

Unfortunately, many people think they are okay for storing important data without any backups, and that's definitely not how they should be used.
