Gaming Rig @1000 using i7950 without VC Tags: New Build Gaming Systems Last response: October 1, 2010 6:28 AM in Systems Share bwisitero October 1, 2010 6:03:04 AM APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Money on Hand BUDGET RANGE: USD $1000 for the build less the card since I already have GTX 480 USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming SC2, Mafia.. Doing some programming and photoshop CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: 480 GTX OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: I'm eyeing an i7 950 for the processor. Case can be temporary cause I can buy a better one later. PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA PARTS PREFERENCES: I would like to get for the best rated instead of the most expensive for most parts. OVERCLOCKING: Possible SLI in the future. MONITOR RESOLUTION: I can always buy another monitor or borrow one. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am unsure if SLI is best since i'll already be using a 480. By the time, I choose to go dual, there setup might be obsolete.
