AMD Phenom II X2 555

I have just bought an AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition CPU in a retail box with fan. When I check the code on the CHIP with the AMD website it turns out that DABS.co.uk have shipped a plain vanilla 555, not the Black Edition. The codings are HDZ555WFGMBOX and HDZ555WFK2DGM. However, other retailers like Amazon.co.uk and Aria.co.uk in the UK are selling the same CPU advertised as Black Editions. Can so many respectable retailers be getting it so wrong? Pls enlighten.

  1. There are no 555's that are not black editions.
  2. As said, there is only one 555 model. It is this one:

And it is a black edition. Is the box it came in not black? Is your multiplier not unlocked?
