New laptop, clean install?

Hello all. Yesterday I purchased a new laptop (Dell) and I am debating whether or not to do a clean install of Windows 7 to get rid of all the crapware. I am assuming this is the best course of action and if so is there anything special I need to do outside of just reinstalling and wiping the partitions? I have yet to open the box so I am not sure how much junk is preinstalled but I'm assuming it's quite a bit.

My girlfriend's new Dell is a complete mess of crapware, so it's probably worth doing even if only to clean all traces of McAfee!

yes, a clean install is the only way to be sure all the trial junk is not there anymore.you might have to download a couple of drivers after the clean install,they are on the dell website under the support and drivers tab !

Do you have windows 7 installation disk? Does it come with one?

If yes then definitely do a clean install without any hesitations.

Thank you all. I do have Windows 7 disks from a PC upgrade I did last month. i did the clean install on that one too.
