X16/x16 SLI affected by x1 X-Fi card?

Hi, I'm running a pair of gtx580's in SLI with the bus speeds mentioned in the title. I've got a killer pair of Sennheisers and I thought I'd buy an X-Fi card to put them to good use. Would dropping in a x1 pcie card affect the bus speeds of my VGA's?

Here's tha rig:
ASUS Sabertooth X58
i7-950 @ 4.7Ghz (watercooled)
2x Zotac GTX580 SLI (watercooled)
Crucial c300
6GB Corsair Dominator
Cougar 1000-CMX

Not at all, the pci 1x slot will not affect your pcie bandwidth.

It could if the x1 pcie slot is is shared with either of the x16 slots in use. Check your owners manual.

* It looks like the black pcie x16 slot drops to a x1 mode if there is a card in the second pcei2.0 x16 slot. Your manual is confusing on this because the graphic right above it says x4 or x1 if the other two slots are occupied. Looks like you'll be ok as long as you drop that new card into one of the x1 lsots.

The pcie 16x aren't affected at all by what the 1x lane is doing.
