Will NOT be watching movies. Will a standard drive (non-bluray) be fine for just gaming? What benefits do Bluray bring forth minus the better picture? Is this noticeable in gaming? Should I just get Bluray?
Do I need a burner? Or will reader (or whatever) suffice?
dvd storage of games is most common for pc games. Blu-Ray does not necessarily mean better image quality except for movies. Your best bet is to save your money for when blu-ray gaming is much more common and the readers/writers are much cheaper.
Th reason blu-ray means hi-def for movies is the capacity for high resolution, and the speed for fast data transfer. this has not been utilized for games because more and more of the game files are placed on the computer, and the files can be compressed to save disc space on the dvd.
