USB 3 Compatability

Can you plug USB 2 stuff into an USB 3 port? will it run ok? will it damage anything?

It's backwards compatible. There will not be a problem.

cball1311 is correct. USB 2.0 will always work with USB 3.0. Although you will not be able to completely utilize the speed capability of a device with USB 3.0 in a USB 2.0 port.
