Buy Wow, Mw2 or Sc2 or whatever type of game your into, set up your online account etc ready to play on the big day
Plan the space where its going to live.
Doublecheck your extension leads/sockets/internet cable
scare your Gf/wife/mother and vacuum/dust the room its going into
Annoy her constantly with Geekspeak about your new system 'Oh wow! apparently my new spindle flert can ganglemorph 18 trillion peratimples per nanosecond, all on the hexamingling port'
take her out for a meal. (romantic of Wife/gf, 'just because' if mother)
read up on your components.
think of cool mods to do to it once the initial thrill wears off.
At a push you could twiddle your thumbs but I think you'll be busy enough with that list.
