External Hard Drive Issues

Hi!

I'm not sure if this is a fixable problem, but today I came home to find my external hard drive not working. Its a 1 TB Goflex Segate model.

It was working fine last night, however, after booting up the computer, it was not recognized. I tried to unplug/replug, connect to another computer but still I got nothing.

I don't hear any sounds. It doesn't feel like it's on, but there is just a blue light on to the far left.

Anyway, is it damaged beyond repair?

If so, are there any option for data recovery?

if it still under warranty do not open try the rma if not you could try to get the drive out and plug it directly to your sytem and see if windows will detect so you could get the data out and get a new one .
