N00b looking for build approval

Hello! I've always wanted to build my own moderately priced, mid-range gaming pc. I've been taking a hardware class and I'm pretty sure I know what I want. Here's what I have in my newegg wishlist. Feel free to let me know if you see any mismatching or discrepancies. The total comes out to be a little under $1000 with all the newegg discounts(which is where I want it to stay). your cpu and mobo links are mixed up

also use a sata dvd writer instead of an ide version, better looking and same price, you may want to use an amd cpu, you can get a 6 core for the same price but thats up 2 you if you have a preference, also that motherboard can use ram that is clocked at 1600 without oc'ing so you want to use that instead for faster speeds, but besides that everything looks good

For $1k including LCD way too GPU lite for Full HD gaming At this range one could, as far as single GPU based gaming rigs go end up with a rather highish end config
