AMD Athlon X3 445 3.1Ghz 64Bit Tripple Core VS ‏‏Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.0

Hello Everybody!
i have so toughts about those two CPU's.

i'm building a new PC and almost finished!
this PC will be a ''gamer'' one.

so what CPU is better for gameing? the AMD Athlon X3 445 or the Core 2 Duo E8400?

and what Motherboard do you suggest for those two CPU's.

*for the E8400 i have 2 Motherboard's First is: P5G41C-M LX (yeah an old one) the second is: ASUS P5Q Pro.
i know that the ASUS P5Q Pro is much better than the other one, but just saying..

for the AMD i have no Motherboard so i really want the Intel One.

Please help me decide  

*if your asking, i have GTX260 OC one. and i'll have soon enough 5850 (getting for free so dont mind LOL)
