so i previously posted a thread about a system build i was planning on doing using a cheap biostar mobo
and asked the community to help, and you did, thanx.

a couple of people told me not to use the biostar mobo for it was cheaply made, so i decided not to use it
i also downgraded from a phenom ii x6 1055t to, well read the rest for details

im now using these parts as my future system build

amd phenom ii 965be at 3.4ghz - cpu

ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO - motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM

and some random hdd and dvd writer from newegg thats not really important

i already bought my antec 600 case and a 550 watt continuous modular psu

i will be using the onboard graphics card for awhile but will upgrade when the money rolls in

this is a budget build by every definition (around 450$) so i dont expect it to run anything new,

(so i ask you experts here at toms hardware if this is a fairly good build?) i would appreciate some feedback, advice, or suggestions thanks guys)

They all seem to be fairly decent components what psu are you using? your processor runs at 125w on its own so when you upgrade you may want a more powerfull psu and also value psu's many times do not actually reach the output they say they do. Integrated graphics would be good for an htpc but definitly not for a modern game. Never tried the mobo but have one on order for an even more budget build than your one. hope we have luck! :)

I live in the UK and the taxes are terrible for IT equipment. I have a budget of about £200 give or take which is about 320$ I just noticed that the mobo i have ordered is slightly different though for the life of me i can't see the differnce in the description. I have had Antec PSUs in the past and thay were always very reliable. My build is as follows though I am canabalizing my old hard drive so its not in the list.

Mobo http://www.ebuyer.com/product/190087 £56.40 Asus M4A785T-M 785G (no D whatever that means)
CPU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/237554 £47.60
RAM http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169489 £32.44
PSU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150985 £39.99
CASE http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150297 £19.99
Optical http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145450 £12.20

Wish I had the cash for a Quad but alas my PC grant from Uni will not cover it hopefully like you when the money comes in I will upgrade. Plus I picked up a HD4770 from a friend today so game on

you might wanna upgrade from the dual core to the x3 rana and see if your mobo will unlock it, because it seems your mobo has the option and viola you have a quad core

It seems you may be right only a tenner extra I hadn't thought of doing that. Have you tried it before? I had a scan of instructions to do this and it seems fairly straight forward depends on the batch and a bit of luck though but worst case senario i have and extra core to do my bidding.

yeqa its pretty easy but i just looked at the mobo again and i dont see the core unlock feature , i guess my eyes where plaing tricks on me lol, but definetly go for the x3, extra core for a lil bit more
