Upgrade Help

Hi, please can someone with experience in PC setups have a look over my setup and advise what would be the best path for an upgrade, Thanks

Processor - Intel Quad Q6600 @2.4ghz
Gfx Card - Geforce 8800 GT
Memory - 4GB DDR 2
Mobo - Gigabyte G31M-S2L

Would like to get a bit better performance from new games in high settings at 1650 and better fps using 3D vision really uncertain on what gfx cards my mobo will support.

What PSU you got? A specified budget would help too.

PSU is 750 watt not sure of the make off my head as im away with work till tomorrow night, Can buy a new one if needed easily, budget for now is about £300 as im planning on upgrading overtime starting with probably a new gpu

I was going to overclock my processor to 3ghz with my new cpu cooler so was ideally looking for a new gpu which I would prefer to be nvidia. Thanks

just overclock and grab a 1gb gtx 460

going to buy tonight, can my motherboard support any of the nvidia graphics cards ? was looking at the following

Agreed

The q6600 above 3.0ghz is still a very capable chip. You have 4gb of ram so your good there.

any particular gtx 460 ? theres alot of models with varying price
