Pendrive unable to be used

Hello,i am unabble to open,format or use the usb pendrive.anybody there to help please

Its it new, If so have a look for a switch on the device, It is for write protect, and will also stop you from formatting the pen drive it`s self. Or you are putting it in a Usb 1.0 port and it needs a Usb 2.0 port to work. Make sure all the drivers are also installed on the computer to use the on board Usb ports.

Why get a "pen-drive"? You can get a really small flash drive and a slim pen separately...
