Hello, all;

Brand new board, 16GB DDR3 12800 and Phenom II X6 1090T. Six 1, 1.5 and 2GB drives. Previous Biostar board no problem (until fried by lightning last night), drives tested OK.

First four come up, times out on last two. Switching drives around gives same result. Latest (only) F2 BIOS selections are a bit vague.

All I want is six separate drives, no RAID.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Look at page 45 of your motherboard manual:

If your OnChip SATA Controller is set to "Native IDE" then your OnChip SATA Port4/5 Type should be set to "IDE".

If your OnChip SATA Controller is set to "AHCI" then your OnChip SATA Port4/5 Type should be set to "As SATA Type".
