Been waiting for this game forever and just bought it without checking specs. Laggy as heck so I think I am in need of a graphics card and/or more ram? and depending on the card a new psu as well. I never upgrade, can ya tell? lol.

No upgrades, still as is when I bought it a year or two ago.

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor 4400+ 2.30Ghz
RAM 1791MB 32-bit os
ATI Radeon X1250
Power Supply Industry Standard 250 Watt
Monitor (not sure if needed) Acer p191w Max Resolution 1440 x 900 / 75 Hz

Other specs are on the acer site but those are the biggies yes?

I would like to run Starcraft II at top specs but I am on a budget of maybe $200-300 tops. so will make do with best suggestions :)

Solution
GT240 or HD5670 should work with your 250W PSU...
Those cards are MUCH better than X1250... :)

OC your CPU a little bit would help a lot...

Your budget is good but if any graphic card with that budget will blow your system as you only have 250watt supply. So better solution is to cut a little from your graphic card budget and spend it on psu + gc.
Any way with this 250watt psu you can only use a hd 5550\5570.

Alright, by 'only use' you mean the game would still run great with this particular card? Or It'll run better but have to turn graphic/game settings down? (currently have it set to lowest everything and it runs really slow) As for the power supply I kinda figured, any recommendations?

Starcraft has a recommended
* 512 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTX or ATI Radeon® HD 3870 or better.
I've got enough ram I think unless some extra would help. I = Noob lol.

Thanks for the help :)

Haven't thought about overclocking and not sure I would be able to without breaking something but if you have a decent site/tutorial I would sure give it a try :)
