CM 334 elite Nvidia Edition

anyone know of some good cpu coolers that will fit into my Cooler Master 334 Elite Nvidia Edition case. I am running a LGA 1156 i5 760 on a maximus geneIII micro atx motherboard. I am trying to overclock my i5 from 2.8 to around 3.4 or 3.6. however, i need a cooler that will fit into my case. Anyone have some good recomendations for a cpu cooler that will fit it, also trying not to spend over $50.

  1. bump?
  2. Maybe the cm hyper 212 +
  3. yea i was looking at that, but on newegg the tax+shipping makes it a $40 cooler, kinda of a rip. Do you think a Zalman cooler might be better, it is not quite is high as other coolers. and are they any good?
  4. Don't worry, the cm hyper 212 + is an awesome cooler, i have one myself and it does its job well .
Don't know much abt zalman -
  5. anyone know anything about zalman coolers for my LGA 1156 or anything about the newer Corsair A50?
  6. i figured, i hope i have a bit of clearance from my side panel.

If you're concerned i know i would be these will fit for sure.i just calculated the 212+ fit and it's an unknown factor i wouldn't chance it.After you subtract the cooler from the case dimensions it only leaves 1.13"and that's from panel to panel less from mobo out.
    It won't fit.

The N520 is your best bet and a decent cooler btw.

  8. thanks alot for that, however, the n520 is not a LGA 1156 cooler, it will not fit on my Mobo. also the hyper tx3 looks good, and it is not as high as the 212. ty, anyone else know anything on this issue or about zalman coolers for a 1156 board?

alright that looks like the cooler i might be getting, while looking through the specs i noticed something. My psu is top mounted, and that cooler looks large length wise, it might hit my psu, any knowledge on that?

I have this case with the cooler master n520, i have an amd build though, yet indeed it does come with an intel bracket. it is the best cooler I have ever bought. It is really quiet even when it is running at full speed. it is an amazing cooler, the maximum my cpu temp has ever reached is 35C. At idle is runs at a mere 23C. The absolute maximum I have ever seen my cpu reach with this heatsink is 40C. I was running two games (GTA IV & BFP4F, both running at max) and all office applications along with chrome, and 3 separate ie 9 browsers. You may ask why I was running all of that at the same time, simply just to see what possibly is the highest temperature I would see. Stupid, I know. But nobody would ever run all of those at the same time so i just decided to run it for kicks.
