ATI Radeon HD 5770 CRT Monitor Issues

Hi everyone, I just purchased all new parts and built my new computer.

AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz black edition
4 gigs ddr3 1333 1066 gskill ripjaws ram
AMD 870-G45 AM3 Motherboard
ATI Radeon HD 5770 (GIGABYTE OC edition, 13% overclocked)
530W Power Supply
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I am using this computer in conjuction with a CRT monitor. It's a semi-old dell, non flat screen, and I've also tried with an IBM flatscreen one, with the same issue.

My issue is this: When I move an application to the far edge of my screen, and move it back and forth, I notice on the opposing side of the screen, that the edge of the screen is warping in and out in correspondence to me moving the window around. It's subtle with the dell, but with the IBM i would actually have to recorrect the black edges and stretch it back to place with the monitor's buttons.

I have installed my graphics drivers.

So my question is, what is causing this? Thank you in advance.

  1. Check the cables and the DVI to vga adapters. Also check the end of the cable for each monitor since there can be bent pins, yes it does happen. These cards do support crt monitors.
