Its more than fine to begin with and definitely no issue at all with your 3.5 Ghz overclock.

Thanks jay. That does make me feel better about my X4 955 after a year of use (especially OC'd to 3.6 Ghz). Still O.K. for the new graphics cards and games.

The Phenom II's are great. My buddy has been putting the x2 550 and now 555BE chips in his build and unlocking the other cores. $100 for a dual core that will unlock to 4, awesome. I think he ran into one so far that had issues after unlocking. They say it is a 9/10 chance now. The new Asus board have a physical switch now to unlock the cores rather than doing it through the BIOS. Gotta love the Value they bring to the table.

who is "they"? the cpu forum has had several people the past few weeks who purchased "x2" expecting cores to unlock...then they cried about their lack of success on the forum...

That CPU, especially OCed, will be perfectly fine with a GTX460. Gotta love those low cost AMD running with more expensive Intel chips. Gotta love the value.

thanks man yeah the phenom IIs are outstanding, though if you dont mind me saying, if they can, tell your buddies who dont have phenom 2's to pick up a 940 only diff between 955 and 65 and 40 is the cpu freq easy oc will fix it, so i got a 965 got over half the price
