I just bought everything for my first PC build and I wasnt sure on whether my mobo had built in wifi. All the videos I had watched never said anything about choosing motherboards with wifi, or even buying an addition to the mobo that gives it wifi. Do I actually need to buy something to use my computer online or does it come with my motherboard?
I have an i7 2600
my motherboard is a gigabyte z68 ud3h b3
Thanks so much

Few MOBO's come with Wi-Fi and those that do come with an add-on Wi-Fi card typically.

Unless you're borrowing Internet access from a neighbor, don't use Wi-Fi on a desktop PC, instead use Powerline {lower latency, low cost, consistent bandwidth, faster bandwidth. See this demo, note the newer Powerline's are twice as fast -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sue1Zvmh8JA

Otherwise yes you'll need to purchase a separate Wi-Fi Card. Looking at your MOBO with lots of PCI slots get a PCI Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n or whatever your router supports and hopefully it has '802.11n'.
