Blue screen shortly after boot

Hello, I just replaced CPU with AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz Socket AM3 in Tforce n750 motherboard with bios update. After system boot and desktop has loaded I get brief blue screen then system goes to reboot. Will run in safe mode and does show processor in device manager but will not run in normal mode.

also, system event properties tell me this... DCOM got error "This service cannot be started in Safe Mode " attempting to start the service StiSvc with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{A1F4E726-8CF1-11D1-BF92-0060081ED811}

and...

You will probably have to re-install your operating system. It doesn't recognize the new processor.

Don't know why 2 avg's. I was concerned that the AMD935 socket 3 was too much for my motherboard so installed AMD920 2+.

also, system ran fine when reverting to original processor.

Did you clear the cmos before installing the new chip?
