Hello out there. Can anyone tell me how to determine the cpu temperature on my HP Satellite laptop computer which is running Windows Vista?

Under Vista system, you have to use CoreTemp.exe properties and under the label “Compatibility” select the option “Execute this process with Administrator identity” to make it work normally.

there are still some other software can manage this.
AMD instrument installation needs administrator’s identity (for more information you can
refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922708).

Thanks very much, dadiggle, for your reply. I am using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.40 GHz with 2GB RAM.

The first link (dashboard.exe) didn't work well for me, but the CoreTemp utility sounds very interesting. I will give that a try and see how it goes.

You can also use OCCT FROM HERE. It should work fine for you and all you have to do is run the .exe file after downloading and it shows temps of both cores.
