Dvd burner named incorrect and will not reconize

for some reason my second dvd burner is not named (IDE\CdRomHL-DT-ST_DVDRAM_GSA-H40N) but instead some of the letters are changed to others for exapmle (dsdrem) instead of (dvdram) so it will not let driver install and will not reconize it. is there any way to fix this error or reset it to its default.
