Hey guys I am going to build a new gaming rig and am looking for suggestions on a CPU,

heres the Rig at the moment, AMD or Intel I don't care

Intel Core i5 760


G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH (2x2GB) DDR3

Any CPU around the price of the i5 760.

The new i5 is on par with the current i7 according to Anandtech. In addition, it should cost about the same as the current i5.

Intel does not sell better processors for lesser price. Never. If it's on par with i7, it will be on par with i7's price. Bet on it.
Not to mention the new mobo's will likely come with built in lube to lessen the pain.

If you are really in a hurry then buy the i5 760 which is good.But if you can wait then wait it is clearly up the current situation your experiencing.
