Hi everyone good day,

A first time pc builder here, and here's my supposed build:

cpu - Intel Core i3 530 2.93Ghz 4mb LGA 1156
memory - 1 Kingston 2gb PC3-10600 DDR3 1333
hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 250gb 7200rpm SATA
Video card - MSI ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB DDR5 128 bit
Motherboard - Asus p7h55m-pro intel h55 LGA1156/DDR3/GBlan

I plan to use the system for web browsing, video watching, graphic rendering and gaming.

If all of these could go together, what power supply should i get?

and another favor, can you recommend reliable cddvd rom drives for me?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Any good 450 - 500 watt PSU will work.

Corsair 450VX (33 amp 12 volt rail)

Antec 500 watt BASIQ

My favorite PSU for a midlevel build is the Corsair 550VX (41 amp 12 volt rail)

It's a bit of overkill in your case, but it will power any CPU and video card with a single GPU.

If you think that you will CrossFire, get a good (Seasonic, Corsair, Antec) 650 watt PSU.

My first choice for an otical drive is Samsung. Second choice is LG.
