Nvidia 3D Vision on 120hz TV?

Hi all.
I seem to keep reading conflicting information on 120hz TV's and Nvidia 3D Vision. I currently have a 42LG70 that displays in 120hz. Seems from what I read that I can use the 3D Vision on my TV with my compatible computer, but now I read that TV's can't do 120hz or that I need HDMI 1.4.
Can anyone clarify this?

Many "120Hz" TVs are not actually a 120Hz refresh. They simply double the image to simulate a faster refresh. For LCD TVs, the 120Hz thing is all about reducing motion blur, but it's sort of a synthetic refresh rate to begin with.
