Hellow everyone.I own a compaq presario cq3230d with 1gb ddr3 ram and windows 7 h.p 32 bit.. I've planned to upgrade its ram up to 3 gb by buying 1 ddr3 kingston 2gb module but when i add the new slot my pc wont boot and just hanging up at start screen. Then i brought another ram from different manufracture and the problem still same.. This is my pc spec http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02001599&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4091718#N35. Please give me kind guide and if can please send a link to update its bios. THX

Does your PC boots only with that 2GB Kingston stick? Also, make sure the module is perfectly compatible in terms of voltage. Modern day modules come with 1.5V spec whereas your motherboard may only be compatible with 1.65V or more.

Specs say dual channel memory architecture. If there is no option in the bios to switch this, you'll need to get a matched set. Pay attention to the memory upgrade specs.
