When attempting to run a Visual Basic application on XP, I receive the
following error message:
"Component tabctl32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:
a file is missing or invalid."
I understand that that Visual Basic 6.0 runtime environment should be
installed on the computer to run VB applications, but where to get one?
(excluding buying Visual Basic 6.0, because I just want to run a program...)
At least the VB-runtime file VBRun60sp6.exe (mentioned in MS support article
ID: 290887) doesn't seem to do the trick, because it doesn't include the file
tabctl32.ocx..?
I know it is possible to register such file also "manually", if I only had
the file on my system32 folder...?
I hope someone could advise me how to get the necessary install pack for VB
runtime environment or just the tabctl32.ocx file. Thanks in advance for any
enlightened...
