How to get files from other pc hard drive via a SATA to USB cable

Just bought a spyker dock to retrieve files off a filed hdd but my computer and windows explorer cant see the drive. any thoughts?

Is your hard drive spinning up at all? Making any clicking noises? Did you replace it as a working drive or replace it because it stopped working?

Right click "Computer" or "My Computer" depending on version of windows your running and choose manage, then from there select disk management and see if the drive shows up at all. It could possibly show up as unpartitioned space meaning it just doesnt have a drive letter assigned to it or it lost its formatting.
