Hello,
I have a dell compter that does not have slots for increasing the memory itw operating on minimum. I have a larger computer that has more memory and is not being used. I would like to switch the hard drives, since the larger cpu has not been used for awhile and no plans to use it.

Assuming Dell has not written the boot sector of the HDD to only function in Dell products there is no reason you can't use the HDD in a different computer. You will need to reformat the drive and will lose all it's content and you will need an OS installation disk.

I think your confused. The hardrive and memory are two different components and they have nothing to do with each other whatsoever.

Also, a cpu is a 1"x1" piece of silicon that sits on your motherboard with a fan on top of it. So there's no way one can be larger than the other.
