Hi, I have a question if the 470 GTX, would it be compatible with a amd mobo such as MSI 870A-G54 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. I dont plan on SLI in the future. If anyone has a better suggestion for a AM3 mobo for roughly $100 or less, suggestions are welcomed.

Why do you doubt.? The GPU requires a pci express x16 2.0 slot (definitely present in your motherboard) and a good quality 550W PSU (actual wattage rating depends on the other system components) to run efficiently.. AMD acquisition of ATI does not pose any disadvantage or compatibility problems while running a Nvidia card on an AMD CPU based motherboard..

Gpu needs a min of pci express 16x to run not a pci express 16x2.0 slot.

I quoted "run efficiently".. I too am aware of the backward compatibility..
