I am going to be purchasing a 150 GB SSD so I can store windows and all of my game files for fast load times. If want to save everything else on my 1tb hard drive (Files, other programs), how would I set this up? A general overview of this process would be fine, but if you also give exact instructions or a link to a guide I would really appreciate it.

What you need to do here is install the SSD and do a clean install of your OS on it then install any games. All programs installed on 1TB HDD will have to be reinstalled after this has been done. Cloning is not an option due to the size difference in the two drives.
Installing the SSD is not a big deal, all you need to do is set the SATA mode to AHCI in BIOS and Win 7 or 8 will do the rest for you.

Also, disconnect your hard drive while installing the ssd. This will keep the recovery partition on the ssd and help prevent trouble in the future.
