Sata port question

I'm by no means knowledgeable when it comes to computers. I know enough to cause damage :). my question is, is there a way to see what devices are plugged into the sata ports on my mobo? I of course tried taking the cover off, but the gpu is in the way of one ports and the maze of wires go behind the mobo so it's difficult to trace where they go.

For reference:
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
4 sata ports total. Intel sata 6, Marvell sata 6, and Intel sata 3 (x2)

installed is a HDD, SSD and DVD.

Is there a way to look in properties or something to see what's plugged in where?

  1. Easiest way I know is to go into the BIOS and look at what it says you have hooked up.
  2. ^+1

I have an ASUS P8P67 EVO...pretty much the same board...go into bios (hit delete on boot).....then click on "advanced" tab...on that page u will see "sata configuration" click onit....there you will see all things recognizes by your board.

Some things may show up there but need to be "enabled".....also if your having a boot or hard drive config issue....go to boot tab and set your "priorities"
