Hello,
My original question was "is it possible to upgrade my Dell XPS 400 with a Intel Core-2 Duo E6600 Processor?" and the answer was no, So. being that it is a Dell
should I attempt to change the Processor, Motherboard and power supply , or should i just start from scratch and build my own?

Well I should have given you a little more information, I just added 4GB of memory, and I upgraded my video card to a NVidia GeForce 8600GT............................... Did I waste my time? I picked up the Video card from a buddy for $20 the only items i purchased full price were the 2 2GB memory cards.................

What do you use your computer for? An option is to sell your current chip and motherboard and pick up a new board and chip with ddr2 support.

all of duty black ops......That's how I discovered my processor is too old to support the new technology..........

Are you getting low fps? You might be better off just replacing the motherboard and give the e6600 a relatively easy overclock to 3.0ghz.

I cannot even play the game @ all................I get the opening screens, dialogue and when the game starts to load i get nothing but black screen

That seems more like a video driver or power supply issue then a cpu problem
