I would like to know if there is a Hardware firewall that can replace my AVG software firewall (AVG internet security) as this must waste system resources.
I'm not interested in VPN's or anything technical, just general internet security to stop hackers and what ever else software firewalls provide while I surf and would be grateful on anyones views and opinions.

You can find routers that have firewalls integrated into their hardware. I'm not sure how well they work compared to a third party firewall, but you could look into that if you really want one.

Those all in one boxes tend to be lacking in serious traffic, but they are cheap, and are probably sufficient for the average home user. If you have alot of traffic or a really high speed connection, your going to want a seperate stand alone firewall, which will cost somewhere around $2-300.
